And again tonight – still windy but lovely and sunny

Another 30 minute run http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1960202 3.5 miles. 8:30 + minute miles – a fierce headwind for the last mile but still not great. It’s feeling a bit better and my knees are more comfortable so things are looking up!
On the way back I noticed a village cricket match on the go so called in to watch a couple of overs. The cricket pitch was a classic village pitch with a huge left to right (from the clubhouse) slope to it. The wind was howling and it was freezing so I didn’t stay long. I thought I’d capture a picture of classic village life and took this – unfortunately the solarize effect appears to have been selected without me noticing

With tired legs and aching feet I set out again – shorter distance (about 3.5 miles) and about 30 minutes
. Not quite as hilly as yesterday but still some serious undulations http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1960202

About 4.5 miles around the Halifax area – some big hills – took about 38 mintes and I was knackered
I have to admit to walking/running the final hill. I’m hoping to put that right within the next few weeks

Watched the first 10 minuts of this – just long enough to see Sunderlnd forward Kenwyn Jones stretchered off – Ouch!

Up just after the larks yesterday morning for a run down the canal starting off at Langley Mill. I’d been at a barbeque until about 23:30 the night before where I had a couple of lagers, so getting up at 07:00 was a bit of a chore. The weather was cloudy but dry – until I stepped out of the door 45 minutes later. It continued to rain until well after I’d returned – it chucked it down most of that time, really heavy stuff.
Anyway I managed about 6 miles or so with Mark (an old work colleague from Experian) and we spent the time talking about MS CRM, Sharepoint and football – the time soon passes when you’re on those subjects
.
6 miles is the furthest I’ve run for a while so my legs were tired and my feet slightly sore (with a blister) when I got up at 05:00 this morning to drive to work.
I got to the Pinfold Guest House and changed into my running kit with the intention of running again tonight but as I write this I must admit I can’t be ars*d so I’ll give it a miss – I’ll run tomorrow.

I’ve been debugging some MS CRM 4 workflows that I’ve been working. These workflows were based on the Order entity and are started on creation of an order. I’d modularised my workflows so that I have a parent workflow and child workflows. The parent workflow checks a field on the Order entity and branches to the child workflows based on that. The child workflows then run and the job’s done.
I was creating orders in CRM and watching what happened – I was suprised to see that both branches of the condition appeared to be executed for a given value of the Order field. I added some debug information in the shape of Note records attached to the orders and had another go. Both legs were still being executed. How odd. I spent a bit of time reworking the condition and various other things before I realised that the child workflows were set to run as child workflows AS WELL AS on creation of an Order entity. That is, the child workflow was executing regardless of the condition of the parent workflow. Switching off the run on create for the child worklfow fixed the problem.

Another week another few nights away from home. I headed off back up to Copley on Tuesday morning. I was bright and early but the day was not – it chucked it down all the way and I was half way up the M1 before I realised that I had forgotten a coat of any kind
.
It continued to rain all day Tuesday with only very brief breaks (I managed to remian dry though). I stayed at the Pinfold Guest House (from previous stays) and even managed to get out for a short run (about 3. miles) – initially both knees howled with protest at this though but they then settled down to a background role and I returned to the Guest House, soaked but slightly happy that I’d manged it. By the time I’d been showered and had a cup of tea (with the handy kettle and tea bags that the Pinfold provide) it was almost 20:30 and I hadn’t eaten since 12:30. I whistled up Google and soon found the Richard Oastler in Brighouse (a JD Wetherspoons establishment) which was a mere 10 minutes drive from me. Once there I was able to order a Beer and Burger both of which went down well but absolutely negated the 3.5 mile of earlier
. Back to the GUest House and I put the tv on and began to watch Britains Got Talent – I managed about 5 mins before turning off as I was absolutely knackered.
Whilst I was in Brighouse I noticed a pub, the Black Bull with accommodation vacancies so I booked myself a room (the Pinfold had no vacancies for the Wednesday night) so I’m staying there and keying this whilst in Wetherspoons again (watching England v USA).
All in all, I’m finding being away from home a pain in the butt but thankfully I only have tomorrow to go before I go back.

Since starting my new job, I’ve found that I have no time for this anymore so I’ve made the effort to get this down on Bank Holiday Monday inbetween working like a Trojan.
I’ve done no running for weeks now and I’m gaining weight like a newborn on premium milk
. I seem to have done nowt but work and sleep. For the second week I stayed over in guest houses for the week (Pinfold Guest House and Kirklea Guest House) and was struggling a bit sleeping with the change of surroundings. Pinfold is a really nice place with newly decorated rooms, very clean and tidy and free WiFi!!!! – well worth the money.
I felt a bit knackered so decided to try driving to Copley evey day from my home. The journey is just short of 70 miles in either direction and the first time I tried the journey, the Tuesday after May Day Bank Holiday, it took me about 2 hours! Subsequent journeys have been taking me about 1hr 15/20 or so so it’s not too bad – but up at 05:00, out of the house at 05:45 and returning home @ 19:30ish is a bit knackering. To end the week I drove up to Sunderland (from Copley) and was picked up by Adrian as we had to go to Edinburgh to work on the CRM development we’re on. It took about 3.5 hours to get to Edinburgh and we arrived about 19:30ish. 3 hours of work, a chinese and into bed by 12:00 (from a 05:00 start the day before).
I’m going back to Pinfold from this week, hopefully, I’ll be able to settle in a bit and get a good nights sleep.
I’m also hoping that not driving for 3 hours a day will give me time to get back to running and blogging so hopefully there’ll be more of this drivel to follow soon.
