About 5.5 miles with Bunder this morning.  It was very hot and I slept in getting out of bed at 07:55 when Bunder called to say he was setting off.

I was going to put a route map up but it may lead to stalkers so I haven’t bothered .  If you want to work out how far something is by tracing a route on a map have a go at http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/

I’m staying in a Travelodge in Halifax having just started a 3 month .Net development services contract with a large financial institution in the area.  I went out for a run not knowing where to run so I just hoped for the best.  There appear to be a lot of hills round here.  I managed a half hour before giving up and returning, Alan Partridge like, to my Travelodge room.

Exercise – 5 miles with Bunder round the res.  I feel knac*ered and cheesed off that I’ve fallen this far off the pace.

The road back seems as long as it always was, I’ve got to lose some weight!

I’ve decided to drop the daily food update.  I’ve dropped it for 2 reasons:

 1.  It’s a pain to update
 2.  It’s a bit Bridget Jones for me

So exercise only from here on in.

5/6 miles with Bunde.  Tiring and my right knee is playing up again..  Grass cutting and raking and general gardening including the thinning of our carrots from greenhouse to open soil – wonder how this is going to work out.

WP and I were out and about at the weekend and we tracked down a chicken coop that we’ve agreed to buy.  It should hold between 4 and 6 birds and is being delivered this weekend.  WP has been out to order some Point Of Lay (POL) Chickens for us and they will be at POL in about 8 weeks – 1 day after Lauras 16th Birthday Bash (she is mighty relieved at that).

We’ve now just got to sit and wait for them to arrive.

Exercise – 5 miles with Bunder.  A minor miracle  seems to have occurred and my ankle has shrunken down dramatically.  I’ve stayed on the Ibuprofen and will do for another couple of days or so but it’s down and no longer as painful, in fact I’m hardly noticing it at all.  The run was fasst (for me in my present state of fitness) but I hung on and got  round in not too bad a shape.  Maybe things are looking up?

Home made mince pie and oven chips with carrots

Exercise – None.  My right ankle is sore, blown up like a balloon and looks bruised – this looks bad .  2 knees and one ankle injury – I’ve never had injuries like this before.  Maybe it’s like my GP said to me about 10 years ago after I went to him with a back problem "Wor, at our time of life", he’s the same age as me, "we should be taking things a bit easier!".

It’s a sobering thought that about 100 years ago I would have probably been of an age where I would have been one of the oldest blokes around – Wor the village elder? and maybe I’ve reached the point where I’m too old for this sort of thing and I should just sit back, watch tv and eat lard all day and all night.  It’s a wonderful thought but I think I have more in me yet – so on to Ibuprofen – 2 every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 doses  in any 24 hour period and we’ll see what’s what.

Exercise – 2.5 miles around the grounds of Beaumont House.  I took
these while out running.  Unfortunately, I twisted my right ankle fairly badly and it’s blown up like a balloon.  Now I have 2 dodgy knees and a dodgy ankle with only about 50 weeks to go to the Londo Marathon 2009.  Can things get any worse?
